Food for Thought

Full English

Char’s son plays football on a Sunday morning and it has become our family tradition to go and watch. Now on a good day I will get up and whip us up one of my famous sausage rolls (more on that in another post). But more often than not we are a tad hungover and find ourselves with an hour to kill before the match starts, starving and in some vague area in Essex where civilisation that alone food is scarce.

This particular week we were in Hackney; which was an exciting prospect for us; there’s not a lot of times I’ve been excited to be in hackney but because it is close by, no motorway journey and we may actually find somewhere good to eat.

INTRODUCING: WELL STREET KITCHEN

They do cocktails

Food:

They had a good selection with vegetarian and vegan options which was good but to be fair the food was pretty average for the upscale brunch place it’s trying to be.

Experience:

The place had a rustic charm but was a little grubby. Although they did play some nice music; a bit of Bob Marley always has me sold.

Price:

£11.50 for a full English, could get a lot more and better quality for your money.

Verdict:

The most greasy non greasy spoon I’ve been to.

Rating: 5/10

Wine Wisdom

Just a quick one and then we’ll let you get back to your Friday night in peace. But if your deciding to have a cheeky glass of the red stuff here’s what we’ll be cracking open tonight. It’s a French Bordeaux that’s defo giving us de ja vu as this appears in our shopping basket on a regular basis these days. As you can see by the picture we’ve already got started so we’ll leave you with those words of wisdom. Sante!

A Bit About Charlene

Hey guys just a little introduction. I’m Charlene West; a yummy mummy of 3 strapping young lads, a reiki practitioner, business owner and all round jack of all trades (but not master of none, just good at a lot of things. Yes, a self confessed perfectionist). Honesty I’ve got more titles than Daenerys Targaryen, you name it I’ve tried it but hey I’m a Gemini so what do you expect? I love travelling and trying new things so thought I’d give blogging a go so I can share my experiences with like minded people and show that you can still be a mum, have fun and live a positive life.

Growing up I was always a hippy and even in my later years you will always still find me stomping around bare foot; people have often referred to me as a ‘floating gypsy’. Overall I am a free spirit with an open mind and open heart. Always there with a shoulder to cry on, some great advice, a bra full of crystals and a stick of sage to ward off the bad energy.

A Bit About Bianca

I was born and raised in North London and yes; I’ve always been this cute…

I love animals. If you don’t have fur and a tail I will still speak to you; I’m just not going to like you as much!

I am a bit of a joker and don’t believe you should take life to seriously you never get out alive anyway…

Unless you’re Harry Potter aka the boy who lived.

Yes, I am a huge Harry Potter fan.

Honestly

P.S. I also love Game of Thrones (At the time of taking this picture I was unaware of Daenery’s fate)

I love to cook. There’s me professionally squeezing a lemon.

I’m half Jamaican. Heres a picture of me playing dominoes as proof.

I work as an administrator but my true passion is making films.

But I’m willing to do anything that gets me a car like this…

And a lifestyle where I do this all day

If you’ve made it this far down congratulations and welcome to my part of the blog 🙂

Follow me through my journey of the good…

The bad…

And the HUNGRY x
