Wine Wisdom: National Red Wine Day

Okay so it seems as though red wine is a recurring topic for us so far but we’ve just found out its NATIONAL RED WINE DAY a tradition started by our fellow wine lovers in 2009. Bit late we know but better late than never and Sainsbury’s is still open. Granted everyone is most probably had a long bank holiday weekend filled with fun and alcohol (us more so than anyone) but lets just take a few minutes to appreciate the rich, gorgeous bottles (or boxes if your that way inclined) of the ruby red good stuff.

This lovely Rioja is what we’ll be sipping on tonight; not too too heavy as it is a school night but does the job. You can get it in most supermarkets and a couple of corner shops if you’re lucky. Or if you happen to be in Spain to our delight we found you can get it for only a few quid a bottle now if thats not enough incentive to book a flight we don’t know what is. Anyway Happy National Red Wine Day, Adios Amigo’s.

P.S. One of the best facts about wine its better to drink it in small doses than to never drink it at all and all for health reasons; honestly look it up, or take our ever truthful word for it.

Wine Wisdom

Just a quick one and then we’ll let you get back to your Friday night in peace. But if your deciding to have a cheeky glass of the red stuff here’s what we’ll be cracking open tonight. It’s a French Bordeaux that’s defo giving us de ja vu as this appears in our shopping basket on a regular basis these days. As you can see by the picture we’ve already got started so we’ll leave you with those words of wisdom. Sante!
